Newsletter Oct 9, 2009: "Larry's Gigalert Reminder Aqus/Sat. Eve and KVMR"
My Friends; just in case you're interested: "5 of a Kind" seasoned
Sonoma County Singer-Songwriters..an evening of original tunes from five different styles and perspectives:
Scott O'Brien, Al Haas, Tony Gagarin, James K. and Larry Potts. We'll have some fun. Five of a Kind is, well, a really good poker hand and there's at least five wild cards in this deal.
Aqus Cafe H and Water Streets, Petaluma, Saturday Nite October 10 7pm No Cover.
great food, great beer, great wine, great place to build social capital.
Nashville style, songwriters in the round, songs about everything, like
Judge Judy, like Daddy Naps, like Old Trucks, like We've Used up the Planet, like The Song in Me, like, like...a plethora of perambulating idiosyncrasies masquerading themselves inside lyrics and melodies, sung by those who can bring you along with a song. I'm pretty sure you'll be amazed by the talent my friends have.
C'mon out. Love to see you for this local community event to support
Also: KVMR (Nevada City) will be streaming audio via Larry Hillberg's
Back Roads Americana Show: he'll be playing some of my tunes from my second album, "All Things
Considered," starting at 7am tomorrow, Sat., Oct. 10. Tune in kvmr.org
(broadband stereo) and listen live..or go archive...
I'd bet "3804" the train song, and maybe "I'm American Too" and "Hats."
Never can tell.
Last graphic changes for new record "Close to Home" finished today.
Album available itunes and Cdbaby by Nov. 1.
All my best, Larry
