my Great Grandfather, Otto Steen, the youngest volunteer in the Union Army in 1862 (16 years old).

Here he wears his Sargent's uniform. Fought at Chickamauga, Chaplin Hills, imprisoned in Andersonville and was a guard at Abraham Lincoln's funeral. See song "Baby of the Brigade".
